Candle Care

To get the best experience from your DEEPER. candle, we recommend following these simple care guidelines. Proper care ensures a cleaner burn, longer life, and the safest experience.

Before Lighting

  • Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn.
  • Ensure the surface you place your candle on is stable, heat-resistant, and level.
  • Keep away from drafts, vents, fans, or open windows.

During the Burn

  • Allow the candle to achieve a full melt pool on the first burn (wax fully melted to the edges). This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn.
  • Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.

After Extinguishing

  • Extinguish the flame gently — avoid blowing it out to reduce smoke.
  • Let the candle cool completely before moving it.
  • Re-center the wick if needed while the wax is still soft.

Safety First

  • Stop using your candle when ¼ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
  • Do not burn the candle if the jar becomes cracked, chipped, or damaged.
  • Always follow standard fire safety practices.

Reuse & Recycle

Once finished, repurpose or recycle your jar:

  • Freeze the jar to pop out remaining wax
  • Clean with warm, soapy water
  • Reuse for cotton pads, matches, small plants, or keepsakes
